Two Websites to Check Out for AI-Generated Illustrations

Two Websites to Check Out for AI-Generated Illustrations

There are two websites you should check if you want to generate AI illustrations.

Two websites you should check

This time, I will explain how to use and the key points of these two websites.

Contents

civitai

Civitai is a website where users can post Checkpoint and LoRA, which are learning data for AI.

If you visit the Civitai website, you will see a collection of image samples generated from the Checkpoint and LoRA that have been posted. The main usage of the website is to search for your preferred image, download the Checkpoint or LoRA, and install them into your own AI illustration generating environment.

Checkpoint is AI model that is used to generate AI illustrations. It is the most important data that determines the characteristics of the generated illustrations.

LoRA is additional AI learning data used to generate AI illustrations. It has the role of assisting with things that cannot be expressed or that the Checkpoint is weak at.

Initial Setup

Once you've registered your account, let's proceed with the initial setup. Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner and select Account Settings. It is important to enable the Mature Content setting here.

initial setup

Please note that adult content will not be displayed unless this setting is turned on. Occasionally, even if you have turned on this setting, adult content may not be displayed. In that case, try turning off this setting and then turning it on again.

Finding your preferred images

Once you have finished the initial setup, let's start looking for your preferred images right away.
The displayed images are samples generated from Checkpoints created by the contributors or from LoRA.

Make sure to check whether it is Checkpoint or LoRA that is displayed on the top left corner.

LYCORIS (LoCon) and Textual Inversion are auxiliary learning files, just like LoRA.

If you have a clear purpose in mind, the filtering function can also be useful.

Before downloading

Once you have found your preferred image, make sure to read the accompanying description carefully, as it often contains supplementary information. This may include explanations of trigger words and recommended settings, among other things.

And here's the most important part - be sure to pay attention to the licensing information!

Notes

Please be careful when using learning data that contains xxx style (replace xxx with the name of an illustrator) or the names of real people.

There is a risk of copyright or portrait rights infringement, so please handle with sufficient caution.

Other

In addition, there is a feature that notifies you when your favorite poster releases new content if you follow them.

All of the Checkpoint and LoRA for the AI illustrations that I am generating were obtained through civitai. Please consider utilizing civitai to its full potential.

Also, there is a Civitai Discord channel available.

Danbooru

We use Danbooru to look up words to use as prompts.

Many prompts for AI learning models conform to Danbooru's tags.

Finding Related Keywords

For instance, if you want to generate AI illustrations of swimsuits, there are various types of swimsuits, such as bikinis, racing swimsuits, frilled ones, blue, red, and so on.
Can you accurately input these keywords into the prompt?

That's where Danbooru comes in handy. Try entering swimsuit into the search box.

Click on the "?" next to "swimsuit."
Click on the "?" next to "swimsuit."

Tags section displays a list of tags related to swimsuit.
Click on the "?" to the left of swimsuit here.

A description of the swimsuit and related tags are displayed

The description of swimsuit and many related tags appeared.

By entering a keyword of interest, such as on Danbooru, you can research the description and related tags for that keyword.

Check how to use and the meaning of words

Let's give an example here again. Do you know the difference between garter straps and garter belt?

The following statement may not be a difficult issue for English speakers. However, Japanese people often don't notice this difference and make mistakes in usage.

garter straps only refer to straps, while garter belt refers to a set of belt and straps. If you read the description on Danbooru carefully, you will find that mixing these two words is not recommended. Looking at the words alone, it's easy to mix them up, right?

You can click on the "?" for each word to confirm its meaning. To prevent the misuse of words, why not try checking the meaning of commonly used words at least once?

Examples of words being used incorrectly
  • "vagina" and "vaginal"
"vagina" means vagina, and "vaginal" means insertion into the vagina by fingers, adult toys, tentacles, etc.
  • "cumdrip" and "cum overflow"
Both mean that semen overflows from the vagina, but "cumdrip" is used when no penis is inserted and "cum overflow" is used when a penis is inserted.

Which word to use with similar meanings?

Have you ever been unsure of which word to use when they have similar meanings, such as drool and saliva for meaning saliva or pussy and vagina for meaning the vagina?

Even in such cases, you can use Danbooru. When you enter drool into the search bar, saliva is suggested.

"saliva" has been suggested
"saliva" has been suggested

This can be useful when deciding which word to use in situations where similar terms may be used.
The number of adoptions listed behind the words can also be a helpful reference.

Danbooru is useful for entering accurate prompts

As such, Danbooru is useful for entering accurate prompts. If you're struggling with a prompt, it's a good idea to just try entering some words.
