What is VAE?
VAE stands for Variational Autoencoder, and it is a technique used for enhancing AI illustrations.
It involves increasing saturation, boosting contrast, and making the main lines of the characters more distinct, among other effects.
Here are some examples. Some representative VAE models include orangemix, kl-f8-anime2, and vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned.

In the early days, it was common to manage Checkpoint and VAE separately and use them in combination. Recently, there has been an increasing trend of VAE being baked into Checkpoint.
I have made several mistakes in choosing VAE in the past, so I prefer to use the one baked into Checkpoint.
